We founded Mountain Medic to help people with active lifestyles stay safe out there. Whether you’re a hill walker, mountaineer, or emergency first responder – we want to share information and idea to help you get the most out of your adventures.

Holly at Mountain Medic

Holly received her initial medical training during her time in the Military, where she deployed on operations to Afghanistan, as well as serving on a high-readiness force covering regional security, disaster relief, and evacuation of non-combatants. She currently serves with Mountain Rescue team, which has responsibilities including Search and Rescue, as well as assisting injured and sick members of the public. These tasks are undertaken at night and in adverse weather conditions, on and off the mountains.

Mark at Mountain Medic

Mark loves to feel the rain on his skin and the sunshine in his eyes. He believes there is no better way to stay fit and healthy and to manage stress than to disappear into the Bowland hills for the day.

But many an incident has taught him that staying safe and being prepared for mishaps is the best way to make sure every trip produces happy memories.

Mark always says that carrying a med kit with him at all times is just like having insurance - useless until the one time when you really need it...and then you will be so glad you bought it.
